You cannot double-dip. They will calculate the award and subtract what he already had received. Still should be a substantial amount.

Linda, congrats on getting your Dad's claim completed. You still never know what the amount will be until it lands in your hands. Glad your wait is over and that your Dad's service is recognized.

Linda they can only rate with the med records they can find, in my case I provided med records going back to 1975 but all mine were private so I doubt the VA could have found those without me telling...
